Rickman’s book was the product of his walks in an around Liverpool and the surrounding area, so as part of the project, we’ll be creating (and leading) some Rickman-themed walks.

Walk 1: ‘An attempt to Discriminate the Styles of the Liverpool University’s Buildings’.

The first of these is now available. Inspired by Rickman’s  book, this focuses on some of the significant buildings on the Liverpool University Campus, identifying their architect, date and style. Starting either at the Sydney Jones Library or at the Victoria Gallery and Museum, it’s self-guided and takes about 30 minutes for each part of the walk, an hour for the round trip.

If you’ve been on the walk, please let us know how it’s changed your view of the University Campus.
